Welcome to Legal Tech Ability

As computers become more powerful, they also become more complicated.  The Internet too has grown far more complex over the last 15 years, having become a vast labyrinth of information.  As much as Google does a very good job finding what is on the Web,  you have to know what you are looking for in order to ask Google to find it for you.

This website brings together a list of web applications for the professional that you may not have even thought to look for.  The editors of this site are attorneys who are members of the York County, Pennsylvania Bar Association and we use these programs in our own practices to help us communicate, stay organized, and to do more, in less time.  Most of the applications discussed on this site are free or almost free.

We don't necessarily provide a review of every single type of application in a specific category; instead we discuss the applications we have used or are currently using. However, as the site grows we may include reviews of products we don't use.

How to Use this Site

We tried to make this website very user-friendly.  There are FOUR menus.  The main menu is at the top of the website.  There are four main categories on this site: Communication, Organization, The Web and For Lawyers.  On the top left there is a menu for our "beginner" articles and below that is a menu for links to websites that we believe you may find helpful.  The last menu on the left has links for administrative aspects of this site.

We have one video currently, but hope to add more, whether we create them or we just link to them on YouTube.

Each page contains a list of recent articles in that category on the right hand side, and you can search the entire site using the search feature on the right hand side as well.  Most pages allow users to leave comments and we encourage you to do so.  Whether you found the information helpful or not helpful, questions you might have about the information on that page, or additional information you believe our readers might appreciate, please leave your comments.  Collaboration make the Internet what it is today.

This web site - like most web sites -  is a  work in progress.  We will continue to add content as we come to discover newer and better web applications.  If you have suggestions for us, please let us know.

Enjoy the site - and get in touch with your inner geek!
